Eagle Set in Midnight Green with Tartan
A playable late hickory era matched set of 8 Spalding Kro-Flite irons in Philadelphia football colors. These clubs are from the early 1930’s and are numbered as opposed to named like most hickory era clubs. This is the perfect set for a modern golfer looking to transition to hickory play as the club lofting will more closely correspond to what they are used to in their modern bag.
These clubs are done in Philly’s twice champion colors, with midnight green suede leather grips with black, silver and white whipping thread. To add some extra flair, a matching tartan fabric detail is on every club. All the clubs are US made Spalding Kro-Flites .Green, white and black paint fill is on the heads to enhance the original markings and stamping, including their signature swooping bird cleek mark. A perfect set for any fan of eagles, either on the course, or on the gridiron.

All clubs have reset heads with epoxy and new brass hosel pins. Shafts are refinished with oil stain and shellac. Grips are hand cut suede leather. Whipping is 4 ply waxed Irish linen thread. All club shafts and heads are originals from the 1930’s and had no discerned cracks, splits or play affecting damage seen during restoration.
